We are offering a Nutrition and Wellness Program at Premier Care and now have on staff a Dietician and Nutritionist. Learn about your glycemic index, how to read food labels, supplements, and weight management.  Each participant will also receive a tailored nutrition and wellness plan specifically tailored for their individual needs.

Introduction to the Glycemic Index: What is the Glycemic Index, and how to eat to lower yours.

Supplements for Success.  Discuss the effects and interactions of various supplements and whether supplements are right for you.

Misleading Labels.  Learn how to properly read food labels and to understand how labels can be misleading.  Learn how to determine food's glycemic index by calculating specific nutritional values.

Exercise, the Healthy Mind and Body Connection.  The key to long-term weight management is muscle dictates metabolism.  We'll discuss personal trainers, various exercise programs, execise suggestions and easy things to do at home and how to involve the whole family.

Get off the Sweet Stuff, Good Fats and Bad Fats.  Transfats, saturated fats, which fats are the good fats?

Stress and Weight Gain.  We'll discuss options and strategies for following a nutrition plan in the day to day world, tips for success and ideas for dealing with stress.  We'll discuss stress, stress hormones and their effect on your weight.

Grains, Detox and Diet Plateaus. We'll reveiw various grains, carbohydrates, and what to look for in food products.  We'll also discuss ways to detox your body and what to do if your diet is no longer working and you've reached a plateau.

Results for a Lifetime.  Suggestions for a lifetime of wellness, health and fitness and suggestions for maintaining good results.
